Hiya
I'm thinkin of spending a week or 10 days in Croatia and would like do some kayaking. Any ideas for where to go?
Would be interested in other activities too - snorkeling, diving, cyclin, hiking, sailing. Ive been to the Split/Dubrovinik area, so suggestions for more northern areas worth seeing would be great!

Thanks
Siobhan

Try river Una.....on the border between Bosnia and Croatia. Half an hour drive from NP Plitvice Lakes. www.una-kiro-rafting.com organizes kayaking and rafting trips down Una river starting from Bihac. Gorgeous nature.
For sailing just about anywhere on the Adriatic, snorkeling Kornati Archipelago, bycicling island of Dugi Otok.

Hello,

kayaking is much different than rafting and I suggest Cetina (there is kayaking and rafting) or even Durovnik. There are tours to explore aronud city.

Also consider Slovenia, just North of Croatia. By Bled (just outside Ljubljana) there are beautiful areas to river kayak. If you are more adventure sport minded try canyoning - easily the highlite of my trip.

Thanks everyone for tips.
We wanna stay north cos have been to Dubrovnik before. Cetina and Lake Bled sound interesting.
Will look into it. We're pretty much beginner kayakers - so looking for something not too challenging!
What about Kayaking around Kornati?

thanks again
