Planning a trip to Croatia, end of August.
I'm looking for of small fishing villages on empty beaches which offer little to the package tourist. where there’s nothing to do apart from swim, eat and sleep. Little cafes, restaurants, fish grills... and not too packed.
Any suggestion is very much appreciated.
Thanks

Go to Komiža on Vis island. But August is peak holiday season everywhere, for Croatians as well as foreigners, so don't expect to find you have the place to yourself.

Definitely great idea given by #1, but I would also like to add island Ugljan and its town Kali to your list to decide ( http://www.kali.hr/eng/index.asp ). It is still not so much commercialized island and its advantages are the proximity to Zadar and also to famous Kornati national park. Just for you to consider another option.

Thank you both. All the places look really nice. It seems to me, but I may be wrong, that kali may be less crowded.
Is there any other villages in the island Uglijan??
Thanks again for your advise

There are number of villages on the island of Uglian. Kali is epitome of a fishermen village, as is Komiza on Vis, that's why it was suggested to you.
