I've looked but can't find anything on here about this. Planning a trip in September to Mali Losinj. Two questions: if I arrive by ferry, is that a rocky trip, I get pretty seasick? Or is it fairly calm? I'm considering arriving via Rijeka, then departing to Zadar. Anyone have experience with either of those runs? Are they pretty large vessels? And, has anyone taken a 'taxi flight' instead, is it a tiny airplane, also motion sickness inducing? Just looking for my best options, I really have to get there somehow. Thank you!

I can let you know after my June trip, but conditions can vary of course. I have only had one rough ferry ride in three visits to Croatia, and it was pretty obvious by the weather that it would be so.
As I understand it, you have two options for getting to Mali Losinj from Rijeka: a bus that takes a ferry (operated by Autotrans I believe), and a catamaran: http://www.krilo.hr/en/sailing_schedule.html
If you will have a car, then there are a couple other options.
I do not believe the line to Zadar from ML runs any more.

I am currently in Mali losinj having arrived here by Venezia Lines ferry from Venice a few days ago. The ferry was fast and very smooth, but of course it could be different with rough weather. It stopped in at Pula on the way. Now I am trapped here, well kind of. I have just posted a new thread enquiring about boats from Mali Losinj to Pula. I have searched the net and the obvious ferry lines but no one seems to do that run. I assumed I could go from here to Pula also by the Venezia Lines, but not so. Shame I booked a flight to istanbul from Pula before I found this out. There are bus ferry combinations but not really what I want to do. Kay Sarah Sarah....

Thanks for your note. So sorry you can't find the ferry you need! I looked online for you as well but it appears that the line from Mali Losinj-Pula has been discontinued for this year! Ugh. I hope you can figure something out, hopefully the ferry/tourist office can help you?
How do you like Mali Losinj? I'm set to head there in September so I hope it's a nice place!
