Hi, flying to Split for one night on 11th June then want to spend a week visiting Brac, Hvar and Vis before meeting up with mates near Dubrovnik. I've booked my hostel in Split but didn't want to book anything else so I can go with the flow and keep options open if meet anyone to travel with, also don't know which is best order to do islands i.e. can you get ferries between all? Brac is closest to Split so would seem sensible to do that first.

Do I need to book at least my first few nights after Split before I go? I know you can get lodgings in June easy but wasn't sure if same for hostels? Didn't want to have to stay somewhere too expensive or the other way, not very nice!

Any advice greatly received.

Thanks

Kageee

There are only a few hostels in this part of the world and in my experience they tend to book up quickly but there are lots of people offering rooms to rent and they can be found at the ferry terminals, bus and train stations. Even the travel agencies and tourist offices can help you find a room if you don't want to book in advance.

I agree with the first response that hostels could be occupied in June. As for the order of visiting the island, I think it's good, but as far as I know there is no direct ferry service between Vis island and Dubrovnik. Maybe you'd be easier to visit the island of Korcula instead Vis island. Here is a link where you can check details about ferries to and from Croatian islands -http://www.croatiaferries.com/
