Hello!
I (age 28)am travelling to Croatia this August with my husband (age 30), brother (age 25), and parents (age 55 & 56) for 8 nights. We are Canadian, but flying in and out of Dublin as we found a cheap flight there and back from Canada. We are healthy and active. We enjoy nature, history, culture, food, wine/beer, art, architecture and sports. We are hoping to stay in rented apartments. We are also renting a car for transportation. We don't have a particular budget, but are keeping things affordable while comfortable and seeing/doing everything we want to. I'm looking for any feedback or suggestions about this itinerary or anything else that you may recommend.

Day 1- Arrive Dubrovnik in the AM via AerLingus.Pick up rental car. Explore city, museums, fortresses and walls. I'm hoping to find a good walking tour to go on.
Day 2- Dubrovnik. More exploring. Sea Kayaking, perhaps to Lokrum Island.
Day 3-Dubrovnik. Day trip to Bay of Kotor, Montenegro.
Day 4- Drive to Mostar, B-H. Find a walking tour. Explore the city and stay overnight.
Day 5- Drive/Ferry to Hvar. Explore and stay overnight.
Day 6-Drive/Ferry to Split. Explore Diocletian Palace.
Day 7-Drive to Zadar stopping in Trojir and Sibenik along the way. Stay in Zadar.
Day 8- Daytrip to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Stay in Zadar.
Day 9-Drop off rental car. Flight back to Dublin via Ryanair from Zadar.

Thanks so much for any tips or suggestions. We are looking forward to the trip!
Aimee

Day 3: plan enough time for the city of Kotor. Take then the hairpin road to Lovcen (stunning views!) and continue via Cetinje - Budva back to Kotor and the Tivat ferry (may be better in the other sense: opening hrs of the sites of Cetinje).
Day 4: Mostar could be done in a day trip, but better not after the Montenegro trip, as you will most probably come back very late.
Day 5: there will most probably be no ferry from either Dubrovnik or Korcula to Hvar (only twice a week, if even!). You could drive from Dubrovnik to Korcula (a real gem!) and take a Split bound ferry at Vela Luka (Western end of Korcula Island).
Day 7: plan enough time for the visit of the Krka Falls Park around Sibenik.

May be you check something like:
Day 2: Montnegro trip
Day 3: Dubrovnik and Lopud
Day 4: Dubrovnik - Mostar - Ploce
Day 5: Ploce - Drvenik - car ferry - Sucuraj (Hvar Island)- Hvar
Day 6: Hvar - Starigrad - Split - Trogir
Day 7 (start early): Trogir - Sibenik/Krka - Zadar
Day 8 (start early): Zadar - Plitvice - Zadar

BTW: I suppose you made sure that you can enter Montenegro and Bosna-Hercegovina with your Croatian rental car.

It is a little fast paced for my--but if you like that, go for it. You could probably take a night from Dubrovnik and add it to Hvar. It is a shame to go to the trouble to get to an island for only one night.
