Hi Folks

I've done my research and I've got an itinerary planned out. Just can't seem to make the logistics work. Hope someone can shed more light :)

August 31 - Land in Zadar
Sept 1- Wedding Anniversary in Zadar (1st year!)
Sept 2 - Plitvice Lakes (by bus) overnight
Sept 3 - Bus from Plitvice to Sibenik
Sept 4 - Sibenik (krka)
Sept 5 - Sibenik (Kornati)
Sept 6 - Sibenik to Sarajevo

I chose Sibenik because I read that Kornati is best explored via tour from Sibenik though i'm not sure if that's still feasible from Sibenik in September. I'm also not sure if staying in Plitvice makes sense for a night or just day trip from Zadar. and finally what's the best way to get to Sarajevo from Sibenik apart from the bus that arrives at some ungodly hour in the morning.

Any extra information is much appreciated.

Thanks!

In Zadar there are maaaaaany tour agencies offering trips to Kornati. When walking around the harbor near the pedestrian bridge leading to the old town, you will see several stands from tour agencies which don't just offer day drips to Kornati but also to Plitvice. Last year in August I went to Plitvice on a guided tour from Zadar. We had 6 hours to explore the park which was more than enough especially on such a hot day.

I don't know about the bus connections but I would suggest taking a bus from Split to Sarajevo. Just checked on www.buscroatia.com that there are several connections during the day. From Sibenik to Split it's a bit more than one hour by bus. If you get the chance, you should check out the old town of Split as well. It's wonderful and within walking distance from the bus station.
