Hi, me and my friends are going to croatia for a holiday in september. We were thinking about renting a car in hvar and were wondering if that is the best way to travel round the town of hvar and whether you can find car rentals at the harbour? can anyone please help us? thanks

Best way to travel around town of Hvar is on foot.
You may want to rent a car (several agencies as #1 said) if you want to explore the island, as I found the bus service spotty except from Stari Grad to Hvar. There are also small boat rentals and scooter rental, though if you are going across the island you'd want a car instead.
