I will arrive into Zadar airport at about 1.15 in the afternoon and would like to head straight to Split.
I can't seem to find any information on buses directly from Zadar airport to Split (I know that I can go into Zadar town and then on to Split from there).
Does anyone know if there is a bus directly from Zadar airport to Split. I know there are often buses that meet the flights but just can't find any mention of this in Zadar.

Slightly off topic, apologies to OP, but is there a ferry from Zadar town to Split? The Jadrolinija website doesn't seem to show one, but I don't know if I'm just missing something obvious?

Only way directly to Split from airport with a Taxi but if you go to the bus station in Zadar you have Bus to Split in every hour.

How much would a taxi be straight to Spil for 4 persons (rough estimate)
Any recomendations for budget accomodation in Zadar close to the centre, LP and Hostelworld don't have much
From airport to Zadar (12km) it's anywhere from 150 to 200kn. Split is about 120km away, plus tolls (50kn one way).....and the driver needs to come back.....you would be better off to rent a car at the airport, even with a drop-off charges. for budget recommendation, see the above topic on hostel in Zadar (relatively close to the center) .
I have a similar question but instead of a Zadar-Split bus early in the morning, I need a Zadar-Split bus late in the evening: around 10pm. Could you confirm the bus schedules on that itinerary as from 9pm and confirm at what time is the last one leaving? I plan to do that trip on Saturday June 20.
