We are planning to drive down the coastal road from Split to Dubrovnik. I have seen now on a map that
we have to pass a small part of Bosnia on our way down. Can anyone let me know if there is also a
passport control? Are we entering Bosnia there? My husband might then need a visa for Bosnia. Thank you

There will be a passport control. I just came back and had beside my Belgian ID card also my passport with me. Dont know where your husband originates from so cant answer on that. If you need to go through the hassle to get visas and passports, I suggest, you take a side trip to Mostar. Worthwhile seeing. Need more updates, just ask. Enjoy beautiful Croatia.

It is true that you will pass through Bosnia at Neum, and there may be a passport check. However other travellers have reported on this forum that there is a special arrangement for transit through this small part of Bosnia, and that even nationalities that would normally need a visa for Bosnia do not need one provide they drive straight through.

That's not the "official" word, I'm just passing on what has been said here previously.
