There are 4 of us making the long drive down from Prague into Croatia. We only have 3-4 days max to spend in Croatia and was hoping to get some feedback on where we should spend our time. The more I research it seems the more south we head the better the beaches (Split/Zadar etc.) Is it worth making the drive that far south or not? We are looking for some beautiful beaches to explore and great spots to go out at night. I would love some of your feed back on your favorites place we can't miss while were here. Thank you so much!

Look at drive times on viamichelin website to decide exactly how long you wish to drive.
We also need to know what month.

Okay, that means it should not be too crowded anywhere. My personal preference would be to minimize driving, but I think if you want any nightlife, then you are probably correct about Zadar or Split. Are you okay with rocky/pebbly beaches?
I keep hearing that beaches around Nin and Senj (near Zadar) are nice. See http://www.likecroatia.com/news-tips/eight-croatian-sandy-beaches-and-reason-to-love-them/ and http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/bestbeaches/7711106/Best-beaches-on-the-Dalmatian-coast-Croatia-Kraljicina-Plaza-Nin.html

My vote goes for Dubrovnik, for me it's Croatia's jewel in the beach/coast crown. Bit of a drive, but can be done in just over 1/2 a day from Prague.
The HR/BiH border is only15 minutes away too, so there's an opportunity to see a bit of Bosnian culture as well.
Accommodation is easy to find in any season without booking, so don't be tempted to reserve in advance and pay more.
Just a few ideas from me.
