a) We're looking for accommodation recommendations for all destinations. If you've had a good experience somewhere then let me know! We are looking for:
-
either decent hostels with a private double, or private accommodation. It doesn't have to be amazing, as long as it's clean and friendly, but it has to be well located (near the beach, very near town etc) as we aren't driving.
-
Looking for a max of around 50-60 euros a night. Cheaper the better really.
-
We especially need recommendations for Split and Dubrovnik. For split we want to be well located between the centre of town, the beach, and the port for the ferry to the islands. Dubrovnik, near the old town and the beach.
-
Would we be ok turning up off the boat during end of June/early July on the islands or should we book in advance?
b) Traveling around. Can we book boats/ferries in advance? How do we do that? If we buy tickets there, how far in advance should we/can we? Any tips? Like should we turn up mega early for a ferry etc?
c) Anything cool to see/do in these areas that you can't read about in lonely planet? We'd like to visit a vineyard/do wine tasting while we are there... any tips?
In terms of our itinerary - it's a bit of a whistle-stop tour... are there any specific places on the islands outside of the main towns we should see?
Thanks for you help
Alex
