Hello

I'm a Turk from Switzerland, planning a trip to Azerbaijan for getting to know Baku and the Country as a whole.
On one side I'm overwhelmed by offerings from various agencies and the unflexible and fixed monthly travel dates.

I wanted to post this here to see if anybody could advice me a local agency that organizes such trips.
I would be grateful for any help here.
Thanks ahead and regards to everybody !

Hi there,

We have a one month visa for Azerbaijan but have been advised that as we are planning to stay for more than 15 days that we must register with the Migration office within 15 days.

At the hotel we’re staying at in Lankaran the hotel have advised us that we must register at every new address we stay at until we leave. Is this correct and how will we know if the hotel has done the registration?

Also we didn’t do a registration at our first hotel in Baku, do we need to get them also to…

Hi

We are going to Azerbaijan in June for 5-6 days. As it is a short trip and I don’t like to cram too much in, I will be looking to do some ‘shortened’ versions of some of the usual routes.

One path I’ve seen some agencies/guides offer is Shamakhi/Basqal/Ismayilli/Lahij. I’m considering visiting Shamakhi and Basqal without the others.

Does anyone know if it is likely there are any tour agencies/guides that would be able to offer a private trip to just Shamakhi and Basqal?

Also, is Basqal…

Hello all,
I am considering a flight from the US to Istanbul with connection in Baku, Azerbaijan. I saw a thread on here from 9 months ago that was a bit inconclusive between embassy info and airline info about whether you need a visa to 'transit' through Baku airport. My layover is 3 hours. Does anyone have recent and direct experience with this or know anyone that has? Thanks! Joy

Visas

Hi All,

My wife and I will fly into Baku in March and our plan is to visit Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh. We will then travel back to Georgia as our flight home departs from Tbilisi.

I have an Irish passport and will therefore apply for an Azerbaijan visa online beforehand.

My question is to how much space I will need in my passport to complete this trip. I only have 4 empty pages. Will this be enough? I am thinking that all the visas are
just stamps and there will be…

Hi there,

My boyfriend and I will be visiting Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan this summer and we would like to do a 7-10 days horse trek in one of these countries. We are two experienced riders who did long treks in Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. We do not want to go with a big group (more than 6 people). We do have a budget, and we are not looking for anything fancy. Please let me know if you have any recommendations for us. Thanks :)

Hello,

I was thinking about cycling in the Caucasus. I had the idea to travel via the Nakhchivan exclave to Armenia (via Iran), cycle through Armenia and re-enter Azerbaijan via Georgia. Here is the route I quickly made on Google maps. For European citizens, I saw that it is only possible to order a single-entry visa for Azerbaijan. Do you need to buy two of these in order to enter the country twice? Or is this simply not possible?
Thanks

Hi everyone!

I'm travelling to Baku this June to watch Wales/Cymru in the European Championships(first ever tournament for myself, can't wait) and am doing the trip from Cymru overland with my girlfriend.

We've managed to plan all the way up to Istanbul (train all the way), but we've got a bit stuck from there on. According to Rome2Rio, there is a night bus that goes daily via Ankara.

Is this option recommended? Our issue is that we are cutting things a bit fine - we have a wedding in…
