Hi guys,

I am looking to go diving next year for a few days during my travels in SE Asia .

I will be going with my boyfriend and we are both open water divers, but have only completed a couple of dives after completing this in August this year, and its not likely we will get to dive before we head to asia in september 2012.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend anyone of these, to dive near sipidan am looking at sipidan-kapalai dive resort and not sure of anywhere else yet. Also if anyone…

1) we want this trip to be easygoing, go to places with regular, reliable public transport or low priced taxis - no haggling and getting ripped off

2) there must be fantastic snorkelling off the beach at each of the places we stay, no need to take a boat

3) each place should have excellent diving nearby

4) in addition to the above at least one of the places we stay should be on a very nice, quiet beach allowing to relax, no dogs or crowds, no guys starring at the girls as if they had not seen…

Hi, my fiance and I are heading to Turks and Caicos mid December and are looking to do several dives while we are there! We don't want to dive with a cattle type company and rather a smaller operation that can take us to some of the better un crowded areas. We are both advanced divers with over 80 dives each.
Does anyone have any dive operator suggestions for Provo? We are staying in Grace Bay.
Thanks in advance:)

Hi Travelers,

I am in Thailand currently and will be travelling to Southern Thailand (The Islands) sometime between Dec 5 - Dec 14. Travelling to the west coast first (Krabi, Phi Phi) and then to the east (Samui, Tao, Phangan) is the plan as of now. I have never dived before. But I am fascinated by the underwater world and want to try it out. My doubt is in two parts:

  1. Which of the two coasts is better for beginners? I am asking this with a perspective of better dives and hence…

Hey everybody,

In january and february I would like to learn diving. Next to that I would like to read, in peace, a case full of books.

The problem: friends of mine would like to visit me during their trip in... Thailand. Does it exist? A place in Thailand far away 'from it all' with a Padi- or SSI-diving school?

Thanks!

I'm not a strong swimmer but have done some snorkelling on The Great Barrer Reef. I am looking forward to a trip to Maui next year – can anyone clarify what is the best spot on the west coast of Maui for snorkelling (NOT DIVING)? We also have a couple of days in Honolulu if Oahu is better.

Dear divers. I have been looking into a trip to sipadan jan/feb next year, but Im at the end of a long trip so im a little put off by cost of diving there. However, I am determined to finish the trip at with a week at a first class dive spot.

I am also travelling to the Philippines after Malaysia, so what I would like to know is (from the people who have dived both): is there anywhere in the Phills which compares to sipadan but a bit more budget traveller friendly, or am I better off sticking…
