Dear all,
I am planning to go to Zanzibar for a week of diving. Does anyone have any recommendations for good dive sites to visit, a good dive centre and a nice place to stay close to a diving centre?
I am mostly interested in reef diving and trying out my new UW camera.
I tend to get sea sick rather easily, so it would be great if someone could give me an indication of the roughness of the sea on the way to most dive sites (short and medium range).

I am looking to spend one-two weeks diving in late April or early May. Flying from Calgary, Canada and looking for the best diving for my dollar. Southeast Asia, Australia, and Fiji may be a little far and outside of my budget. I completed my Divemaster in Utila and have done some diving around Tulum in Mexico. Can anyone suggest some good destinations?
I know BC is supposed to have some awesome diving, but I will wait until August when the water is a bit warmer potentially.

1st time to the Philippines. Landing in Manila on Jan 6 2012. Only have 3 weeks there so was thinking i want to get out of Manila right away (fly to Puerto Princesa and get started diving!) since we're more interested in scuba/snorkel and will have a couple of days there before flying out..Looking for a dive resort or hotel near shop (was hoping to find one for about $100 day could b more for good view or if its just one night) in a good location for exploring on land as well..Want to go further…
Looking for information regarding diving in the Galapagos, in particular alternatives to expensive live-aboards and a way to combine diving with (land) wildlife viewing.

its been a while since ive dived. question... how soon can i dive after landing or prior to take off? do i have to wait 24 hours after ive landed or refrain from diving 24 hours before diving??

I fly into denpasar. I'm guessing i head to padang bai and catch a ferry from there. I have 1 month, and will probably just go to manado for bunaken and then the togeans for some chilln and diving, anyone have any tips on how to get there or great divesites or anything to do with the places im going would be great

Im an advanced Padi diver going to Asia this month. Im travelling with a friend who wants to take his diving lisence, and hopefully he will do this while on Koh Lanta, Thailand.
So can anyone in here recommend a good dive operator on Koh Lanta?
As I dont remember much, how long time will the theoretical reading part for the "open water" take? can he do the whole open water course in 4 days?
And last: anyone with experience from diving in Burma? is it good? safe…

I am having trouble finding dive shops on South Africa´s east coast, somewhere near East London preferably. Does anyone have recommendations - they will be much appreciated.
What is the diving like around there? I am Open Water certified, have done about 30 dives.
