planning on heading for BANDA islands and BUNAKEN in Feb or April for 3-4 weeks,
planning on arriving in Ambon on Thursday/Friday and trying to get on to the plane or the Pelni ship to Banda on Saturday
expecting to find some excellent snorkelling at both
got our PADI OW this year and did a couple of advanced OW dives
according to their website the pelni ship to banda seems to be going each 2nd saturday - if not broken, is ist usually on time (not more delayed than say 1 day)?

I know Moalboal would be a much better place to stay but Id like to see the big stuff (thresher sharks, mantas etc) - Ive heard Mactan is a better place to see these. Or is Pescador Island in Moalboal just as good?
Also, I want to do some wreck diving in the Philippines and cant decide between Coron and Subic Bay.Ive been to Subic but the visibility wasn`t great (going in December now), whereas Coron is said to be a bit more colourful. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

My wife and I are planning to go to the Red Sea next April for 2 weeks and would like some advice as to where we should go as she is a NON diver ( or it would be livaboards)!
She is happy on the beach as long as there is shelter and that I am not away all day diving so boat diving near the resort essential.
I am a bit old in the tooth for shore diving or strong currents and would rather do all diving from a boat..

I'm looking for a dive internship where my costs are covered and I work for the company in exchange for getting certified as a dive master... does any one have any recommendations as to where to look into or who to talk to specifically... I originally wanted to do it in Dahab but I'm having trouble finding a company that offers the internship option... ideally it would be around 6 months.

in the upcoming months i will be in India, Maldives, and Thailand....i have never been scuba diving before but would like to learn. My girlfriend and I are looking at the 4 night live-aboard to the Similan islands this coming December. I've dived 4-5 times (not certified) but my girlfriend has a grand total of 0. Can we just join the live-aboard or is there some diving/safety course required by first time divers before heading out? We have to fly in the day of the trip but will get there with plenty of time before ship departure.

Going to be in Malaysia over the Xmas period. Have ear marked about 5 days for this section. Hoping to do some diving at Langkawi but having a bit of trouble trying to find a reasonable hotel (family trip, will be about 6 of us) and a decent dive school/shop. I know weather might be a little bit iffy. Also a decent beach would be appreciated? Any suggestions?
