Can anyone tell me the best places to dive in Asia during december and January, it seems that it's the rainy season in some places at this time so where to go or not ???

I am looking for some recommendations on diving Fiji, possibly Bligh waters, Somosomo channel and some other areas.
It is not my first time in Fiji I have been diving Kadavu (A bit disappointing) Yasawas (well, just a try...) and North of Viti Levu in the Bligh Waters (Fantastic).
I am traveling with my wife and daughter, they are not diving, hence I am looking for accoms on good beaches so that I can leave by themselves for daytrips. I cannot afford exclusive resorts either like Moody's…
Could you help with this?
I was there and the sea was very choppy. Is this seasonal (or is it usually so)? BTW I stayed in Semporna and had to do the trip daily.
Any recommendations for accomodation on Mabul?

Hi - I have searched old posts but couldn't see the answer to this. Different countries have different rules as regards to dive knives; does anyone know if there is a problem with taking dive knives into Thailand?

I know I could find the answers to these questions somewhere here but - I am in Myanmar and the internet connections are not that stable and definitely not quick enough. So I'd like to pose this question here - what is a good dive site (or multiple ones) on the peninsula (!) for February? Got a few weeks to spare but can not fly out to Borneo I'm afraid so looking for a mainland spot.
I'm not experienced (only Open water +1, did in on Ko Lipe with private instructor so no Koh Tao…
Anybody have any advice on the cost of doing a Scuba Dive Instructors course (after Divemasters has been completed etc etc) in Cairns or nearby area of Australia. Roughly how much is it to complete, and any recommended areas, dive schools to go with?

Looking to go to (preferably) Manila in the Philippines to do our advanced and divemasters (possibly eventually Instructors sometime as well). Anyone have any good advice on where is good to go, good dive schools, prices etc to do this?

A friend and I are in Phuket for the next week or so and are then headed to Krabi and Phi Phi.
Just wondering where the best spots are to go snorkelling just off the beach (without having to pay loads for an organised trip).
