Hi there,

I plan to go to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in November and would like to spend a few days on the coast. The place should offer excellent snorkeling opportunities. Since I have already been to really good snorkeling locations around the world I am unfortunately quite demanding.
It would be ideal if the snorkeling spots could be reached by myself without the need of a tour. However, this aspect is not a prerequisite but a nice to have.
Any suggestions?

Snorkeling the Mekong in Laos during the wet season is great. Try to get right by a sewage drain.

On a serious note check out places in Vietnam. Cambodia has really limited opportunities for decent snorkeling. At least from what I can tell this time of year.

Si Phan Don in Laos is definitely the best place.

Vietnam and Cambodia are both not incredibly famous for snorkeling.
