have an opportunity to go diving at Pemba in either the fall, winter or spring of 07-08 season. any ideas when the weather might be best for this?? thank you also posted on Africa site.

What do you mean exactly by fall, summer, spring?? The European ones?? Oh, just saw that your profile shows you're from Australia, are you talking about those seasons?? Problem is in Africa you don't have 'spring, fall, etc but wet and rainy seasons.....
Anyhow, generally speaking, diving in Pemba is good throughout the year except May/June, that's the big rainy season. The small rains are in November, but it's showers only, not rain all day long and for days on and on.
I dived in Pemba and ZNZ last year in September/October, no rain, visibility was of 25 - 30+ m.
