A couple of questions re Tubbataha live aboards.

Does anyone know a good value boat? I didn't expect it to be cheap but the costs I have found are large and by the time you factor in equipment and national park fees very pricey.

Is it good enough diving to justify the expense?

I went there last year on the MV Stella Maris. The company was the expedition fleet. The boat was good. Not the luxury of some red seas liveaboards by any means but perfectly functional. Staff and food were superb.

Diving was fantastic and well worth the trip. I did a transitional trip which lasted a bit longer that the normal one. We stopped at Apo reef too which was amazing. Never seen so many fish in my life.

My advice, book it and go. You won't regret it. If you need any more specific info email me. carlinpaul@hotmail.com
