Time to book a Christmas dive trip - suggestions

In the early stages of planning a Christmas vacation & looking for suggestions on destinations. Have to travel at Christmas as we have school schedules & budgets to contend with. Will be flying from Minneapolis & want a reasonable flight as we only have 2 weeks (Don't want to be exhausted from flying that we can't enjoy the holiday). So not thinking South Pacific or Maldives. Looking for HOT weather! (this excludes Cuba, Jamaica, southern Florida & some of Mexico!) Good diving opportunities is a must - thought of Aruba but have heard it is better for beaches than diving so that's not going to be a go. (Have a fair amount of dive experience & so far like Belize better than Roatan). If you know a great place to stay that would be great to know. Thanks

How about Tobago or Bonaire and Curacao?

Fernando de Noronha. It's the southern hemisphere summer in December, and the diving is very good. Plus there are beaches! There's one little beach where you just snorkel in tide pools. Great for kids!
