Greetings folks,

Curious if anyone has any suggestions/input on steering my wife and I towards a great diving oriented trip late Oct. We really enjoyed Zihuatanejo about ten years ago, but are looking for something different. I guess there are always the package deals in Cozumel... but I thought I'd ask the Pros for any suggestions you may have. We've got about a week; aiming towards the latter end of Oct, and cost is a slight consideration.

Much thanks from the LP newbie!

Hola from Cozumel,

I have seen this msg for so long ... and as nobody answers I'll do it.
Cozumel has always been a great destination for scuba diving. In October you won't be disturbed by the crowd, it is low season now.
If that can help please go to [www.scubagamma.net], where you can find a lot of information about Cozumel, scuba diving and packages with hotels or B&B's as well.

You can email us directly at scubagamma@hotmail.com.
Enjoy your vacation in Mexico.

Saw your post and not sure if this will be in time because Oct is almost over.
Cozumel is of course what most will tell you. The vis there is the best and good color and reef life.
I personally prefer the mainland, much more other than diving to do and they have a secret weapon, the cenotes. These are some of the best dives in the world for sure. Check out Maya Diving for instance in Tulum, that's who I mostly dive with. Tulum is really cool and fantastic beach.
Other spots to find a bit more info about cenotes: Wikitravel or Quintana Roo Speliological Society .
One of my favorites of all would be Cenote Angelita
Happy diving and do post and let us know how your trip went wherever you end up.
