Do any of you know of specific holiday destination or resort where good off-shore snorkelling is collocated with quality fitness facilities, especially a 50-meter lap pool and a very good gym?
By collocated, I mean within walking distance of each other (or perhaps a short cyle or ferry ride away). The idea is to avoid driving.
I'm not looking to stay at a really expensive resort.
I'm not sure if this might appeal to you or not but you could have a look at Maui. There is great off the beach snorkeling along the Kamaole beaches in Kihei - about 3-5 miles away on Lipoa Street is a public swimming pool(don't know how big) - would be a bit of an uphill trek on Lipoa but if you are a biker it should be fine. Can't help with the gym but there are numerous ones on the island and I am pretty sure there would be one close by. You could look into renting a condo or private ohana if you didn't want to stay at a resort. Hopefully someone else may be able to point you to exactly what you want.
