I see a lot of people asking where to go for world class snorkeling. We spent a little over a week in the Morovo Lagoon area of the Solomons. Although a week is not nearly enough time to properly explore this area, I can say that every single place we did visit was outstanding. Incredible diversity, vibrant healthy coral, untouched WWII wreck sites, huge schools of fish, cruising reef sharks, octopus, manta rays- it was like an aquarium. And very few people go there, so it feels very undiscovered. Beautiful friendly people everywhere. I'd love to go back!

Here are just a few images I took snorkelling there if you want to see what I mean:

Lovely photos - nice of the wreck - they didn't take me to that one when I was there - I'll have to go back.

I did dive the P38 that crashed in 8m at the end of the strip, but I can tell you the vis there was poor - still - it was a plane - I had to ;-)

Wow, nice photos. Too bad I live about 12,000 miles away from there. I guess it would cost us thousands just to get there. Maybe in a few years..... you never know
