It seems I've lost my Advanced Open water dive card and as I'm going to Egypt in 3 weeks I could do with getting a replacement pronto.
Anyone know if you can get a replacement card somewhere in London + how much they cost?
I tried to check out the PADI website, but it seems to be mainly geared up to people on the other side of the pond.
Also if I don't have a card in Egypt, will the dive centres be able to look me up on the database to check my credentials (I do still have my open water card at least)

First of all, there should be a Europe PADI website.
Second, you don't need a replacement card if the dive centre has access to your records via Internet. All they need is the exact name on your card and your birthdate. Any PADI pro can check on your credentials this way. It might be a good idea to give the dive centre a heads up that you've misplaced your card so that they can look you up ahead of time.
Padi International is the one based in London, Padi Europe is in Switzerland and is for continental Europe, as far as I know.
What quero says - it's easy, no card needed, just name and birth date and they can check your credentials.

Bring your log book. Not that a dive centre should accept it, but I've had a friend who forgot his card and a dive centre accepted just looking at his log book which had his certification number in there. After all, it's pretty hard for them to turn away a paying customer.
So you lost your Advanced. I know it may seem obvious but do you have your Open Water somewhere or did you receive one of those temp paper cards for your Advanced that may be lying around somewhere?

As the above posts said it should not be a problem not having your card as the dive center will be able to check online with just your name and date of birth. You now have two options pay for a replacement card or do you rescue course and receive a new divers license. The rescue course is normally over 2 days and it will make you a better prepared diver if something ever happened, a good idea.
Have a great time in the red sea.
