Need advice - Koror or Peleliu dive shops?

Interest forums / Diving & Snorkelling

Hi!
I am planning a "budget trip" to Palau on my own, thus needing briefing and a good guide when diving in strong currents. Sam“s was recommended, but Peleliu dive shops are much closer to the best dive sites.
Could anyone advise on them? I cannot find much information about Maml divers and a few mixed reports about Peleliu Divers.
All advice will be appreciated.
Cheers,
Liberty

Do the staff of Palau dive shops carry gear and tanks on the boats?

Sams will get you to Blue Corner in an hour - what are you going to do with the rest of your day after your 2 dives? ;-)

Sams carry your stuff on the boat out to the site.

If you are Koror based you will probably meet more people - very good atmosphere there - & you have options of getting to cloer sites if the weather turns - the wrecks are sheltered - Chandilier Cave is a spit from Sams & really would recommend that as a dive

The best thing about being based on Koror is you get to zip through the rock islands on the way to every dive. Some awesome scenery to behold.

Sam's is excellent.

If you need help with your kit, then I am sure they will help.

Thank you. Peleliu is a cut-down in travel-time to the sites and in cost. I would go through the rock islands twice anyway.
Actually, as my plane is leaving at 1:30pm, I could also do 2 dives the last day when staying in Peleliu. I am not sure whether I could arrange this with Sam`s.
I heard the Chandelier Cave dive is more expensive?
I am not into wrecks and wrecks.
Best regards,
Heike

You fly at 13:30 and you plan to dive that morning ?

Please dont. It would be very inconvenient for the flight crew and the rest of the passengers having to deal with someone bending themselves silly.

No, that is a misunderstanding.
I thought that if I flew on Saturday, I could not dive on Friday. But as the plane is leaving 13:30pm on Saturday, I could do 2 dives off Peleliu Friday before 13:30pm, thus getting a 24h-interval without missing a day oof diving. I am not into kayakin, and I wonder whether other trips apart from diving are not just tourist traps?
