Most remote diving in Thailand?Interest forums / Diving & Snorkelling
Hey everybody, In january and february I would like to learn diving. Next to that I would like to read, in peace, a case full of books. The problem: friends of mine would like to visit me during their trip in... Thailand. Does it exist? A place in Thailand far away 'from it all' with a Padi- or SSI-diving school? Thanks!
Sure! You can go to Kuraburi (I've been recommending that place a lot here recently, it seems!), or you can go down to Koh Lipe. Both are fairly remote, though Kuraburi is probably less on the tourist trail than Lipe is. | 1
Thanks. Is it true that visibility at Ko Chang & Ko Phayam and at Ko Ra & Ko Phra Thong is relatively less than at other diving places? It would be good for the first learning stages, but less interesting for advanced divers. True? | 2
I consider myself a fairly proficient diver, and I'm taking two rescue divers and one advanced open water diver up to Koh Phra Thong for some dives at Richelieu Rock next month. | 3
