We have almost decided to go away for three weeks in March. Where would you go? Our criteria are hot/hottish great snorkelling from the beach/coast AND interesting local culture.

Thailand - snorkelling is fab and the islands have some lovely beaches to explore. Thailand is easy to travel around in and safe too - the locals are lovely and theres some wicked culture too. The food is fab and once here everything is quite reasonably priced too.

ayeshaandwilco Thailand Our last holiday was three weeks on a Vespa - Chang Mai, Nong Kai and 3 days in BK. Will return to the mid North to freshwater fish and see the Golden Triangle.

Indonesia? Lombok and the Gilli-islands. Great snorkling, and the culture on Lombok is really interesting. Bali, northern side, snorkelling around Tulamben is very nice.
