lombok (belongas bay/sekotong)

hi, i was wondering if anyone had details on the logistics for diving belongas bay and sekotong. from what i've found so far, it'll be really expensive to head there on day trips from senggigi (assuming these are offered). i was hoping i could head down on my own to sekotong and try to convince the dive company/resort there to arrange the dives for me there. will this be doable? can i take public transport from lembar to sekotong? any help is much appreciated

That's very doable.. DiveZone is located near Sekotong, George, the owner can arrange accommodation (not very cheap though as the area is not so frequently visited by tourists as the Sengiggi area), transport and diving for you. I would advise to contact George a bit in advance before you arrive there.. Day trips from Sengiggi would consume a lot of time due to the distance.. DiveZone has an office in Sengiggi, somewhere on the main road.
If you want to take public transport go from the harbour to Lembar town and then jump on a local bus direction Sekotong/Pelangan..
