Hi folks,

I've been reading a ton of Guat threads, and would like some feedback regarding a 3-week itinerary I'm planning for Sept. I'm concerned about rain, which will be unavoidable, it seems. Don't have flexibility with month of travel--must be September. Still, I would like a bit of help about what locations are must-sees regardless of weather.

Was thinking I'd hit Antigua for a few days, then head up to Chichi for a night. Over to Lake Atitlan for about a week, then haul it to Rio Dulce (couple of days), traveling to Tikal (another couple of days) and finally Flores. Somewhere in there, I plan to do just one week of Spanish at a school, but haven't decided where or when.

I'm interested in Mayan culture, not so much in hiking/trekking, definitely in volunteer opportunities and some amount of Spanish immersion, if feasible.

Thanks!
