Hello there this my first post on here and would like some information from you experienced TTers.
My boyfriend and I arrive in Phuket on the 20th of October and are interested in doing the open water Padi course, can someone recommend a good reputable dive company that would be able to start the course on the 21st. We are going to be staying in the Kata beach area.

There are plenty of dive shops spread all over the island
some of the larger ones are south siam, dive asia, sunrise, dive the world, marina divers, see bees the list goes on and on
The level of education that you get is down to the instructor that you get assigned on the day not the dive shops. Big well known dive shops can still have complete muppets working for them.........

Lots of options on Phuket and in Kata.
Check equipment, try to meet the instructor, and make sure you feel comfortable with the dive center. Check the price to make sure what is included (manual, boat/beach dives, certification costs, etc.).
Starting on the 21st: no problem :), here you will find all information on our open water courses.

Some better/ quieter dives in the southern andaman sea. I stayed on Koh Lanta and dived with Lanta Diver, who were not cheap but gave excellent professional service
