I know they lost their access to the sea, but think I remember seeing a report about some guys who dived in Titicaca lake... is there any option for diving in Bolivia? Would be quite a thrill at 4000m altitude.

Also interesting medical problem : you´re not allowed to fly (i.e. 2400 meters altitude/pressure ) within 24 hours of a dive. Friend of a friend did that , had to be taken to a decompression chamber ( another town , medical flight ) immediately after arriving. Normal diving tables obviously won´t apply.

Hmmm... so the Bolivian navy has a dive center in Tiquina, but it is not open to tourists.
They seem to have supported the guys who made the TV reports.
