Cheapest place in Europe to learn to dive?Interest forums / Diving & Snorkelling
Can anyone suggest a good place to get Padi in Europe, and I mean Europe not North Africa! I am looking at late October so would like to do it somewhere warm (not Egypt!)... Would the Canaries be good or is it too rough there?
So southern italy is out of the question:-) | 1
Check out Malta. I have good experiences with Maltaqua. | 2
Agree with Steven about Malta although it is mainly shore diving there which at my age does not go down too well. Some great dives there! Cyprus is another option and the weather is great there too. Canaries would be OK too as you suggest and even if it is a bit rough sometimes there are always calmer places for diving. | 3
you could also try croatia. | 4
Malta is good and is probably the warmest option. There's also the advantage of it being an island so pretty much whatever the wind direction you can always dive in the lee. Turkey is probably cheaper..although there is some debate as to whether this is 'Europe' | 5
