Cheap place to live and dive in early 2012??

Hi looking to take some time out to progress my diving and have some fun in 2012 but with limited funds.....all ideas appreciated thanks

The costs of living in Indonesia are very low, the diving is spectacular and the diversity is top-notch.

As mentioned above - Koh Tao is a great place to take courses.

local food $1
large beer $3.5
