hi

any suggestions for cheap + beautiful diving destination?
so far, i dove in thailand (similans, koh haa) and roatan, honduras...and would love suggestions for similarly cheap,warm, and beautiful (US$20-30/tank) dives with backpacker/flashpacker type accomodations (less than US $30-$40/night).
i'm based in los angeles and would need to consider travel costs/avoid far-far away places that are difficult to get to. would like to hold off on SE asia/austrailia for the time being...

Cheap Diving in Indonesia?
Go to Lombok and Aceh.
US$ 45 for 02 dives.

The diving in Bonaire is excellent - better than Roatan. You can rent equipment for the week and do shore diving. However, accomodations are a bit pricier - not much of a backpacker scene there.

Fly into Bali (Its usually the cheapest route) and dive Get a fery over to Nusa Lembongan and go diving with Sun Fish (Mola Mola)
then get go to the North of Bali to Tulambend. Theres a great shipwreck 30 meters off the beach at a depth of 30 meters.
