Planning a late december trip and would love to do some diving. I did a BSAC qualification years ago and followed up with a few trips in the UK, Australia and Indonesia.
Setting off from the UK, what is the the cheapest, quality diving to be had - Red Sea?
Any ball park figure for a week's package?

A good option would be to try getting a budget flight to Sharm, then take a bus up to Dahab and theres lots of good low price places to stay and dive.
If you have a week, why not try one of the numerous Red Sea Liveaboard packages? With the current financial climate, there are discount offers every day and if you're lucky you can get a whole week's holiday - flights, dives, food, lodging etc for something like £599. Try the Northern Wrecks & Reefs itinerary because practically everyone does it.
