Hello chaps,
Just wondering if you could recommend a weekend getaway with good snorkelling a couple of hours from Sydney? We'd happily hire a car/campervan for the weekend or get a train/bus too. Can't take the Friday or Monday off work, so we'd probably leave after work on Friday and come back Sunday night.

Nelson Bay, less than 3 hours from Sydney, is great. Recently went there for the first time and spent for the weekend and fit in 5 dives easily. Easy shore dives, a couple wrecks, and we had great viz when we were there. Try calling the Pro Dive store there for some info before you go.
Apologies - just read your post properly, snorkelling would obviously be very different!!
