Hi Divers!
I will be on leave in between Feb-March and being based in Haiti, I was wondering what would be the best pick for diving nearby here.... if you had the choice between these countries, which one would you choose for sea life & corals:
- mexico (yucatan)
- belize (great blue hole)
- honduras' islands
- guatemala
- cuba

Cozumel / Yucatan and Belize are both ideal for diving in March. In fact I am going to both places myself this March, the latter on the Aggressor liveaboard. If you had enough time, you can do both yourself or, follow-up conventional diving in Cozumel with the superb Cenotes near Tulum.
Do not know about Guatemala and Cuba.
March is not the ideal time for the Bay Islands of Honduras. May to September would be better. There is a peculiarity in the climate in the area and the prevalent conditions create an odd inverse weather pattern. While it often rains on the mainland in the summer months, it is dry (sometimes windy) over Utila and Roatan.
