I wanna go to South East Asia in September, and somebody recommend me to Scubadive at Bens Diving in Ko Tao.Is it wicked or is it more like a big dive factory,if you know what I mean.

Hey there!

I got certified with Ban's Diving in 2004.... probably the same place! It worked well for me! Yes, some may consider it a bit of a factory but it was very comfortable and a lot of fun! I've had friends get certified with one on one attention, small boats, reading lessons and learning on there own.... personally, from everything that I've seen up till now, I would still have done it with Ban's!

When you take the boat from Koh Samui to Tao, there will be some "recruiters" on there. Rest assured that it is a small island and if you would rather walk from place to place seeing where you would rather fit in, that is possible too! Ban's has 2 places to stay... the 'main' hotel/cabin area and sleeping quarters on the quiet side of the island (Sunrise??)... you could learn and dive with your group (free transportation to and fro) and go back to your humble abode!

If you have anymore ques... I'm here!

Bans is a factory. It is the largest diveshop on Koh Tao. You will get certified, and you will meet alot of people, but in my opinion you will have a better time using some of the medium sized schools like Phoenix Divers (really recomend them), Koh Tao divers, Coral divers etc.
