Bastianos - Bunaken Sulawesi?

I'm not a diver, but three good ones on Bunaken are Living Colours, Two Fish Divers, and Bastianos. Living Colours probably has the best food and accommodations and is owned by Jaacho from Finland.

I've been to Living Colours twice, and it's the best dive resort I've ever been anywhere. Great food, atmosphere, dive guides and gear. Also, diving in Bunaken is superb !

cheaper place if you continue walking down the beach to the very end..

TripAdvisor had some very bad comments about Bastianos from several different contributors. (I'm planning a trip to Bunaken in July).

Boats to pick up from airport not showing up....divemasters turning off your air as a "joke" during dives(!!!)....old worn rental gear.

There is always a crank who had a bad time and disses a place but there were 6-8 different contributors with ghastly stories.

I was very surprised because Bastianos gets a lot of mention in the forums and literature.
