... to the Georgia Satellites ?

try www.thegeorgiasatellites.com . They have 4 dates scheduled from May 17th until mid June. Not very big venues but they are still around.
Before they had their 15 minutes, they were the house band at Hedgens, a real sketchy dive bar in Atlanta (lived there from '80 to '86). Whatever else, I'd bet their brush with mtv has given them the ability to make a living playing music.
That said, Battleship Chains is almost as annoying as Achy Breaky Heart.

When I was probably 9 or so, my cousin and I decided one night that we were starting a band called the "Sighing Satellites", inspired by the name Georgia Satellites. I would play my xylophone and we sang and correographed(sp?). I'm sure we were great. This was only one of several bad ideas concocted on family visits.
