This is a movie I watched many years ago on TV, I was probably 12 or 13 years old and the movie shocked me quite a bit. It is a color movie, from the late 60's or 70's I think, about a man who moves with his family to work in what seems to be an agricultural cooperative but it turns out to be some sort of disguised slavery camp where people are retained against their will based on alleged "money debts" owed to the cynic and merciless owner. I think they escaped at the end but that is all I can remember.
