Borrocks, only the Decemberists & Arcade Fire in November....
Maybe the Go! Team in Bournemouth
Site Report. The Decemberists were very good at the Royal Festival Hall. If you're seeing them soon, you are in for a treat. It was another..."They can't come off now, its only been about half an hour. Oh Fsck, its 80 minutes into the gig"
Sign of a great gig.

Xavier Rudd will be my first concert all year when I get my ticket on Friday. This friday. And god help the person who dares tell me they haven't got them ready yet!!!

Ok, have tickets booked for Paul Kelly in November now and am going to try for Powderfinger tickets on Friday morning.......
Ravings, were The Decemberists really worth seeing then?! Damn, I had just written next week's Dublin gig off as an unnecessary expense. I did however somehow get a cancellation of one precious ticket to see Rufus Wainwright in the same venue next week, sold out months ago. I'll be sitting by myself but who cares.
Going to see Stars this weekend. I also just saw about 30 Irish and Scandanavian bands at the Hard Working Class Heroes festival last weekend, really really high standard of unsigned and unknown bands ready to take over the world.
Xavier Rudd played here last week and I ran a mile for it, can't stand him, sorry. But yes, Powderfinger on the night of my 30th birthday is going to be outstanding!

Going to see Marissa Nadler tonight. In fact am hosting her all day.
ellefoxx.. haha.. had Indian food with Stars in Montreal last year. Nice bunch.
Truckstop - i randomly asked you in some thread of yours the other day, dunno if you replied, do you know Danish band Oh No Ono? Saw them on the weekend, really made an impression. Were Stars any good live or was it just a vindaloo night out?

ellefoxx.
Dont remember the oh no ono thing. sorry. CAnt say I heard of them either.
Stars.. well. we played with them at the Siren Festival in NYC last summer and they were ok live, not QUITE my cup of tea, but the vindaloo night out in montreal was excellent. And they came to the serena show afterwards.
Truckstop - I missed the Serena show at Electric Picnic, my apologies, I did want to catch em again. But I did have a very drunken conversation with a guy recently about that Crawdaddy gig, he thinks they are the best band in the world. Not sure if Stars are my cup of tea either, just going with a mate who adores them. I gotta get my hands on some Oh No Ono stuff
