Just finished Rudyard Kipling's collection of stories Plain Tales From The Hills.

Wondering whether to start in on the 1130 pages of Robert Musil's Man Without Qualities.
Or Gary Shteyngart's Absurdistan. Or Xinran's Miss Chopsticks.

While dithering am rereading Ivan Illich's essays in Deschooling Society & browsing in various Arden editions of Shakespeare plays I bought yesterday. & reading the Arabian Nights stories.

The Gargoyle, by Andrew Davidson. It's a treat, the story is spell binding and Davidson's writing takes my breath away. I'll be totally useless until I finish it.
