For the past ten days our neighbour/s immediately to our left have had Tracy Chapman 'The Best of Tracy Chapman' on never-ending rotation. Soft, loud, day-time, night-time, there is never not a time for Tracy Chapman.

Have you ever had neighbours with a phase-love of one special album?

Oh, yes.

Usually not even the whole album, just one particular song. Very loud and over and over again for several days in a row.

The one I remember the most: Killing me softly by the Fugees.

Solution, turn 180 degrees. Then the neighbor on your left won't be bothering you.

US Army off-base housing, Koln-Dellbreuck, Germany, sturdy teutonic construction; Emerson. Lake & Palmer's Tarkus. But it was me playing it for about 3 months and my unit sergeant lived below us. Grinding his teeth.

In college I lived next to a half-way house. In the warmer months one of the guys living there used to open his windows and blast Donnie Iris' Ah Leah on a daily basis. When I lived in the dorm the football players next door played Hotel California on a daily basis while the Norwegian swimmer on the other side played A-Ha's first album all the time, too. My college days were filled with repetitive music.
