Absolutely amazing performance from Rourke & who would be better than him to depict an 80 juggernaut who lost it all then desperately tries to get some of it back.

He is broken when the film starts and when you follow his tragic life - it feels so real at every step & your heart breaks when it goes further downhill from there.

I loved the ending even if it leaves you feeling like your emotional insides have been trampled all over.

Highly recommended!

Thoughtless, please do show where 'This senile old fart', says anything about the Movie? I was only commenting on Mr Rourke's recent performances, simply that, and only that. When i do see it, if asked, i will undoubtly give my opinion.

Its a great flick. Kudos to Rourke. Those of us who who either had our 15 seconds or tried very hard to pursue a dream, will especially relate to this one. Was that breathing style Rourke's idea or the Director's? Brilliant and utterly believable. *Perhaps one scene they should've written in: Ram alone at a bench in the mall after quitting his dayjob. A furor is happening down one hallway, as a crowd there is becoming excited. Ram looks over to see Duane 'The Dog' Chapman doing an autograph session.....

I am done. The end.
