I was going to suggest any movie set on the British Isles, yet I have the strange feeling that some could think of this as a workaround. Therefor:

1. La Grande Séduction (as far as I know, the village is located on an island)

1. The Beach

1. Zorba, the Greek

1. December Boys (2007) Set on Kangaroo Island off the SA coast.

9 - Donovan's Reef

1. The Sands of Iwo Jima.
