So, you have decided to have a Party??!!
Cocktail Parties arrived on the scene in the 1950s. Hollywood glamorized the cocktail party as celebrities stood around in swanky smoke filled rooms with dim lights casting shadows with the sound of ice cubes clinking in glasses. Although the images associated with what a cocktail party was in the 50’s may not be the same nowadays, a cocktail party is still a fantastic way to entertain.
However, when was the last time you enjoyed the party? At your last party, you let your favorite Uncle Tommy talk you into letting him, mix the drinks for the evening because He has been in so many bars that he knows every popular drink out there, or maybe your sweet, just out of high school Nephew “William” try a hand at making some of the more “Hip” College drinks. Or even just better, you just go ahead and break out a bottle of your favorite 21 year old Scotch let your guests pour and mix their own drinks. So then what happened? The relatives ended up drinking more than they were pouring and ended up in an argument with some of your spouse’s co-workers and you have spent the greater part of the evening fetching cups, opening bottles of wine, eyeing the ice bucket and at the end of the night…. YOU are the one who has to clean it all up.
