Hi all

I'd love to get some feedback from the travel blog fans out there...

I'm a travel writer - for Lonely Planet among and other publishers - and I've just started a new blog called COOL TRAVEL BLOG.

http://www.cooltravelguide.blogspot.com/

By 'cool' I don't mean what's hip and groovy, but rather what we all find 'cool' about traveling - you know, when you're on the road and you see a stunning landscape and you go 'coooooool' or you visit a sight that you're telling your friends about and you say "it was very cool". My aim is to write about all the stuff I think about when I travel that I can't include in the guidebooks, so it's more a series of reflections and insights more than anything, although I plan to insert the occasional tip and review of places that don't really fit in the guide books.

Most of all, I want to inspire readers to think differently about travel, that it's not only about POIs (points of interests) but more abstract concepts and feelings... like the stuff you think about or see out the window when you're on a 24 hour bus trip across Brazil. If you relate, I'd love it if you could check out the site, share some comments, and email me with some feedback. It's only been up for a few days, and while I want to keep the process organic, I also want to make sure I'm not being too self-indulgent.

cheers
Lara
