C'era una volta il West (1968). I have to say, it is right up there with The Wild Bunch, The Unforgiven, and the Outlaw Josey Wales as far as Westerns goes. Sergio Leone's masterpiece.

Do yourself a favor and check this one out. Jason Robards, Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson couldn't have been cast more perfectly.

I wish they movies like this today.

Five Stars.

They do make movies like this today.
3:10 to Yuma is an example.

And No Country for Old Men is a modern Western, a clash of values set in the same terrain , and an instant classic.

3:10 is a remake though. So not sure if that counts as a film made today, as an example in its own right. Although I've not seen the original. Was that in the same style as Once Upon A Time In The West?

Loved loved loved OUATITW.
