What a joke.

That's on par with Springsteen playing the half-time show at this season's Super Bowl. I understand that they're iffy about who they pick since the Janet/Justin breast debacle, but since they've had Prince, Neil Young and now Springsteen. It'd be nice to have some young blood on there.

neil puts on a great show. just opened up with a more than stellar 'love to burn' the other week at farm aid and with my morning jacket playing as well.....sounds like the perfect match! (for a madison, wisconsin show with blitzen trapper and the fleet foxes on the small stage that is)

It would be more of a joke if he headlined THE BIG GAY OUT.

I'm not sure the line up is worth the ticket price. The only bands I'd be interested in is "Arctic monkeys" & "The living end" & the latter I'm seeing (again) at the " Pyramid rock festiva l" along with "Black keys" & "Gyroscope".

I'm assuming AM will have separate gigs as bands usually do when they come to the festivals here. So I'll try for tickets then.

Might to the same (hope for separate gigs) when it comes to Soundwave as I'm only interested in "Scars on broadway" & "Alice in chains".

Then again I do love festivals so I might just get tickets anyway..

Yeah, I have Neil Young live at Massey Hall (thanks Mud_Hut) but Neil Young really just comes across as being a bit of an egohead on that thing. If only he just didn't talk. Perhaps he was better back in the day, but you had to be there at the time.

Anyway, BDOs in Australia are young bogan Australians running around, caped in Australian flags with behaviour that makes me just feel old. It used to be about the music (and some nice soft fluffy drugs), but now it's a bit mad, isn't it?

Oh well, viva Neil Young.
